About me...

I am Mel. Sometimes people call me a panda. Maybe that's where pandamal derived from...

I am traditionally trained in animation production, throughout my journey I have collected many skills in layout, character design, painting, animation, storyboarding and design! 'Oooah' I hear you muse. I quite agree.

Competent in Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel painter, CellAction, Toonboom. A little bit of After Effects, Flash, Maya and Dreamweaver.

Based currently in the UK in London, I graduated from The Arts Institute at Bournemouth in 2007. Since then I have recently worked on a children's tv programme called 'Humf' in the background art department. I am now awaiting my next big project to come along, but whilst doing so am filling my time with many little creations (check em out on the homepage!) and trying to keep the drawing hands working :D

I like many things; fairytales, origami, baking cakes, funky socks I can dismantle, stickers, tofu, action movies with swanky racing cars, some books, playing guitar, bubble tea!! All of which help inspire me in my work :)

Soya bean also rocks! (And gives me special powers).
